Michael A. Morabito, Esq.

Juris Doctor, Western New England Law School, Massachusetts; B.A. in American Civilization, University of Miami, Florida. Attorney Morabito is licensed to practice law in New York, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. He has been a practicing attorney since 1986 and also has been a licensed real estate broker. He holds secondary level teaching certification from the Association of Christian Schools International with endorsements for Social Sciences, English, and Language Arts. Mr. Morabito has been teaching in CALC since 1986.

David H. Blank

Instructor: Science - Chemistry; Business

Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Dartmouth College; Sc.M. in Analytical Organic Photochemistry, Saint Joseph's University; B.S. in Chemistry, Albright College; MBA in Organizational Leadership and Business, Norwich University. Dr. Blank has extensive teaching experience on the university level, including having taught at Baker College Online, Castleton State College, Dartmouth College, Norwich University, and Keene State College. He also has industrial experience as a research assistant, assistant scientist, senior research chemist, supervisor; as well as serving as an independent contractor in the pharmaceutical, ink, flavor and fragrance, and chemical industries and in academia. Dr. Blank has five US Patents and has written for many professional publications.

Victor Brooks

Instructor: Science

MBBS, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (equivalent of U.S. Doctor of Medicine), University of West Indies Medical School; Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of West Indies. Certificate in Botanical Medicine, Canadian College of Natural Medicine. Certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates. Dr. Brooks has over 30 years of experience in the Medical Field, having served in a wide range of medical positions in Barbados, West Indies, including Medical Officer, Emergency Room at St. Joseph Hospital; Clinical Medical Officer Public Health Service; Acting Medical Officer to the Royal Barbados Police Force; Medical Officer to the Barbados Fire Department and Defence Force. Additionally, Dr. Brooks served as a medical doctor for 20 years in his own Limited Private General Practice. He has extensive teaching experience at the college level, including teaching at the Barbados Community College and a number of offshore American type Medical Schools. Furthermore, Dr. Brooks holds advanced degrees in Divinity and Christian Ministry.

Samantha Devoid

Instructor: Science

M.S. in Biology, University of Massachusetts, M.Ed. University of Massachusetts, BA in Biology, Saint Anselm College, NH. Ms. Devoid has a varied background in biological research, environmental policy development, and education. She holds teacher certifications in Biology/Life Sciences from Massachusetts and Wisconsin. She has taught science at both the high school and university level. Ms. Devoid currently contributes to numerous science textbooks and publications as a freelance writer and editor.

Richard Eckhart

Instructor: Mathematics; Physics; Computer Science

Ph.D. and M.S.in Chemical Engineering, Penn State University; B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Lehigh University. Dr. Eckhart has over 45 years of combined industrial, business, and academic experience. He has held industrial positions with several well-known corporations including Monsanto, Exxon, Honeywell, Parsons, and SimSci. In addition, he has been on the faculties of a number of colleges and universities including Azusa Pacific University, Penn State, Villanova, UCLA, University of Maryland, California State University-Fullerton, California National University, Northcentral University, and CALCampus.

Dr. Eckhart has experience as an applications software developer using Visual Basic, Oracle, FORTRAN, BASIC, and C/C++ programming languages. He specializes in mathematical modeling, steady-state and dynamic simulation, process control, and custom applications software development. He is an experienced site developer for the World Wide Web and is also a Registered Professional Engineer.

Jason Franklin

Instructor: Mathematics

Master's Degree in Mathematics For Teaching, Harvard University Extension School; Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Mathematics, Clemson University. Mr. Franklin holds teacher certification in Middle School and Secondary Mathematics from the state of Massachusetts. He has five years of experience teaching middle school mathematics in Boston Public School System. Mr. Franklin has been teaching post secondary math at University of Phoenix, DeVry University, and is a lecturer at Bergen County Community College in New Jersey.

Timothy Gehle

Instructor: Mathematics and Social Sciences

Doctor of Christian Education, Phoenix University of Theology; Master of Religious Education in Educational Administration, Cornerstone University/Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary; B.A. in Liberal Arts, Olivet College, MI. Dr. Gehle has taught high school and college mathematics at various schools, including Olivet College, Jackson Community College, First Assembly Christian School, and Alpha Omega Academy. He is also an experienced high school guidance counselor and former principal. Dr. Gehle holds certifications with the Association of Christian Schools International as a secondary principal and teacher of social studies and mathematics.

Debora Ladner

Instructor: Science

Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Jackson State University; M.S. in Biology/Marine Science, University of South Alabama; B.S. in Biology/Chemistry, William Carey University. Dr. Ladner has taught college level science for many years, and she has also worked in industry as a chemist and as a physical science technician. She has directed the Family/Mentoring Program in her local area, serving young adults with GED preparation, tutoring, assistance for college entry, among other services. Dr. Ladner has volunteered as Assistant Director of day care services for low-income families, writing grant proposals and bringing excellent services to the children attending the facility. Her ministry is working with teen girls and young women. Recently, she has worked on writing a full curriculum series of children's books entitled How to Teach "Pre-Schoolers" to Read, How to Teach "Pre-Schoolers" Bible, Math, Art, Social Science, Science and other curriculum guides of the sort. When not working, Dr. Ladner enjoys creating art, playing the piano, quilting, camping, cooking, her children’s sports, and just spending time with her husband, son and daughter, family, and friends. In addition, her travels have taken her to Europe, and parts of the Western and Eastern United States.

Mirjana Radovic-Markovic

Instructor: Business; Management; e-Commerce; Organizational Behavior; HRM

Ph.D. in Economic Sciences, University of Belgrade; Master of Science, Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade; Diploma of High Educational Qualification, Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade. Dr. Radovic-Markovic has done advanced studies in the Netherlands, USA, and Russia. She has been a lecturer and professor in the field of entrepreneurship and management on the Faculty for Management BK, Belgrade; Farleigh Dickinson University, USA; Akamai University, USA; Lacrosse University, USA; BCCS College, Belgrade; and Pebble Hills University, Italy. Dr. Radovic-Markovic has authored many books and articles in her field; she is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Economic Sciences, Belgrade; and she is an elected member of the World Academy of Art and Science.

Wade Richards

Instructor: Physics

Ph.D. in Engineering Physics, California Coast University; M.S. in Physics, California State University at San Francisco; B.S. in Physics, California State University at Hayward. Dr. Richards is a retired Air Force officer and has taught Nuclear Reactor Theory and Applications for the Department of Defense and the Department of Energy. He also has taught at California National University for Advanced Studies, the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST), Argonne National Laboratory, and California State University. Dr. Richards has over 50 publications in the areas of neutron radiography techniques and facility design and received the Air Force Award for Outstanding Achievement for accomplishing the task of designing, constructing and licensing the only nuclear reactor in the U.S. Air Force (as of 4-11).

Jerry Sarchet

Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Liberty University; M.Ed. with a concentration on Secondary Social Studies from Campbell University; BA in History from Capital University. Current physical education teacher; taught high school social studies from 2003-2018 in three different schools; former Army Officer with deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq.

Charles Wang

Instructor: Mathematics; Physics; Computer Science

Master of Education in Math Education, University of Delaware; B.S. in Mathematics, University of Delaware; B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang TV University, China; Distance Education Certificate, Thomas Edison State College. Mr. Wang has been teaching mathematics for 20 years in both classroom and online settings in universities and colleges across the US. He worked as an online math consultant, computer programmer, library analyst, interpreter and translator, and has traveled extensively in Western countries.

Ashley Fryer

System Administrator

Ashley Fryer has been programming microcomputers since 1982. During his career, he has written software for many companies around the Pacific Northwest including Skylight Software, VisionWare, GrokWare, Pentari, and Microsoft. He is president of Black Market Software. His other interests include playing the violin, juggling, and reading science fiction. Mr. Fryer programmed the CALC Academic Quiz Center on our former GEnie campus and also was one of our early instructors on our QuantumLink campus, having taught Computer Science in CALC from 1986 through the early 1990s.
